I think you should try Sony’s Acid 6:

Or Tracktion:

Both are easy to learn and easy to use.
I’m using Ableton Live:

Free can be hard, but you can try Reaper:

Otherwise try Acid, but it’s commercial:

Hey there, Im looking for software, or anything that will allow me to develop Electronic music with relative ease. When I say ‘electronic’ what I mean is, dance music, techno, trance, that kind of thing. I’m not interested in Vocals, or software that makes me search my audio files or the net for sounds. Im looking for a program that is all self contained, and needs no attachments for it too work. Can someone help me? I am using windows xp, I own a dell computer that is about 4 years old, and the only sound card I have, is the one that the computer came with. Is it possible for me to find a program I want, on the computer I have?
Thanks!

Well, try Ableton Live if you have the money. Live has all built in what you need to make electronic music. The best soft out there if you ask me. There is also a simpler version called Live LE.
